2014 starts off with a nice little win: NOS EMPI straps for the recently purchased camber compensator. I bought both sets-knowing that the hoarder within would appreciate seeing a set on the shelf-and I got a hell of a good deal on them as well.
I'll take each win I can and keep moving forward.
I found another moderately sized parts stash...working out a deal with the seller in the next couple of weeks. As there are only a few parts I want to keep, most of it will go up for sale. I can't keep as much as I'd like...I don't want to wind up on that TV show where they dig people out and find fifteen dead cats under 10 year old take out boxes.
A friend of mine found an old "Foreign Car Guide" from July of 1965 that features a review of the 1500 S Variant. He sent it to me along with a well used carburetor pivot tower that I'm going to restore. Fascinating article for the old car...and some interesting details in the pictures.
