"Do not let your grand ambitions stand in the way of small but meaningful accomplishments."

The pan is back in the garage after a few weeks of schedule ping pong.  Of course a snow storm hit right as we got to the shop...it was snowing pretty hard when we left but we managed to drive our way out of the storm.

The pan is 2k epoxy primed and painted with a satin 2k chassis black paint.  The tunnel needs to be blown out because there's some sand inside from the media blasting.  I have some Eastwood internal frame coating that I'd like to get inside of the tunnel before I really start putting this thing back together.

The weather is my only hold up at this point because it's not warm enough to use the internal frame coating.  I'll clean out the inside and make sure the sand is out in advance.  I'm going to dig out the front beam and make sure it's ready for a coat of paint, prep the control arms for paint and start ordering hardware.  I'll have to get it all together and either zinc plate it myself or send it out for a coating.  Not sure which one is going to make this more time effective.  I've got most-if not all-of the parts I need to get this thing back up on tires with brakes, transmission, engine, tires, etc.  I'm still going to pull the fan shroud and paint it an aluminum silver since the bare aluminum is quite dirty.

Steve hasn't had much of a chance to work on the body but we talked through the other pieces that need to be addressed on the body.  He's nearly finished fabricating the heater channels and they look pretty good.  The body is still in very rough condition and while it was nice to see some progress, it's a little discouraging because the body is in such rough condition and it requires a lot more work to get it straight and correct.  My ambitious schedule is probably off by a few months.  I'm rather sure I can get the pan up on tires with steering, tires, etc. but the body is going to take far longer than I wanted it to take.

It's nearing a standstill because I'm nearly finished searching for parts at this point.  I'm counting this lack of needed parts as a 'good thing'.

At least I have a piece that I can work on while I wait for the body work to be finished.
