Nothing is more entertaining than rattling people with the confidence you have in your own crazy

Now that I've decided to keep the car, I'm spending some time figuring out how to get the bare shell and pan to the shop to have the rockers welded in and have the floors welded on to the pan.  I've got some kick panel towers en route with the idea that I can have the kick plate re-shaped to finish off the pan.

I'm working on collecting the parts I will need to get the pan on tires once the floors are welded into place. I ordered rear wheel bearings, seal kits, boots and all of the rear mounts.  The front beam parts are nearly all collected with the exception of the brakes because I'm installing a wide 5 disc brake kit.  Once the pan is powder coated and the body work is completed, the fun part begins...it seems so close and yet so far away.

The consideration for color is on the table...I'm partial to blue or black, with anthracite being a close third.

The cobalt blue is a nice color:

  1. I'm more of a fan of the blue personally. So close, hang in there!

  2. I like the blue as well-they're all semi-rare colors for this car...I've always been drawn to blue-especially dark blue. We have two grey/silver cars, so I'm really leaning toward the blue. Black would require a really nice body and I'm not sure the rear fenders are up to it.
