"Somewhere someone is looking for exactly what you have to offer"

While major progress continues to elude the car build, I have managed to reach out to fellow VW peeps and start the process of part trades and the foundation of some deals.  I've found the early heater elbows, a NOS early muffler, damper, pipe and install kit.  I'm 70% sure I can get my hands on the missing heater box and a couple of other miscellaneous parts.

I'm letting go of a mostly complete early set of Type 3 door panels and trim pieces (64/65 S), including the Z arm rests, a NOS wiring harness among other miscellaneous parts.  I sold off a complete set of 5 wide five wheels without the expense of removing the aging tires first (a $60 win, in my book).  I have collected all of the parts to finish assembly of the final ignition column to be assembled with NOS parts-which I will then sell off.

So far, the only thing that's come in to the collection is an early NOS oil cooler...still wrapped in foam and tape.

The seller of the clear lenses sent me a pair that was defective so they've been returned and a case has been opened to keep both sides honest.  I'm expecting an amicable result but one never knows which direction things may go.  Maybe I jumped on it too soon...maybe it'll work out.  Time will certainly tell.

Once the weather comes around I'm going to get as much done as possible to get the pan back up on tires.  It's so close!

My wife and I had a discussion about how to plan the trip to California now that the Classic date has been moved...or now that I'm aware that the date has been moved.  I think we'll shift our vacation by a few days so I can get to Pomona and leave right after OCTO the following week.

There's no chance I can make the Classic with my work schedule-I'm due to be in The Netherlands during the Classic.  Maybe I can work my way over to Paruzzi while I'm there.

Good stuff is coming...
