The front brakes that I bought on Black Friday from Airkewld arrived today. The photos are of the brackets that mount the calipers to the drum spindles. I was a little surprised to see that three of the four holes are machined so close to the edge of the piece given that there's nothing else on the spindle to get in the way of using more material around the holes. One of the reasons I considered this kit was because I wanted to use the drum spindles and have the brackets made with steel (these are) and get more meat of the bracket to hold it all together. I don't understand why the bracket is machined the way it is...maybe it'll make sense when I put it together. I could also dig out the spindles before they go off for paint and see how the bracket fits against the face...but I suspect that the two might not match up like I think they should.
Overall, it appears to be a nice kit and the parts are finished well (except for the caliper brackets).
