"So I'm waiting for this test to end, so these lighter days can soon begin..."

I got in touch with the body guy today after a lengthy silence.  We've both  been busy lately.  The pan is welded completely and ready for paint.  Once I get the pictures of the final work on the pan, it'll go off for paint.  And when that's done, it'll come back to the house where I'll attach the front beam, the front brakes and the rear sub-frame, transmission and axles.  I've now got to work on getting the wheels powder coated and new tires so that the car can be up on tires by Spring.  I've decided to seek out another option for tires as the dog bone tires are outside of my intended price target so now I'm leaning toward the BFGoodrich tires.

I received the hub caps today-a full week ahead of the 'expected delivery date'.  One is rust rashed, one has a couple minor dents and the other two have minor rust through on the chrome.  I'm going to dig out the others and see how much it'll cost to have the dents pulled and get them chromed.  In the next few days, I'm hoping to have time to put together a pile of stuff to get chromed and another pile of stuff for powder coat.

A NOS Gossen tachometer is up on TheSamba...the price is almost reasonable but I'm going to stay the course and make sure the pan is finished and the body work is completed near Spring 2014.  I've got lots of NOS parts I could sell off to buy this one but I'm keeping focused on the fact that I'm not taking on debt to finish this car and I don't really need this part.  I'll find another one in the future.  I've got the repop I bought a few years ago but I'd like to find an original someday.
