"The trick to forgetting the big picture is to look at everything close-up."

A few shots of the engine as it nears completion.  It fires up and idles nicely.  Chokes aren't hooked up because they're not marked (meaning they're probably 6 volt).  No generator yet but it's going to be ordered soon.  The rebuilt carbs were not actually rebuilt-the diaphragms on both had to be replaced, the float on the right side had to be replaced and the diaphragm cover on the right side was warped and leaking fuel.  There are a few minor pieces still to be done and the fan needs to be torqued properly...but it's close.  Even with J tubes, a Chinese header and Brazilian muffler, it sounds pretty good.  Looks like I'm getting close to needing to get the stock exhaust and tubes, etc. ceramic coated and ready for installation.

Now...to find the correct left side heater box...  Then the engine can be considered 'done'.
