“I desire the things that will destroy me in the end.”

My 'big' purchase from a 4 day bender in California: One NOS in the box bumper guard. For $15. A hell of a deal if you ask me.

I've returned from California refreshed, energized and ready to tackle the various pieces of my project car...I went out expecting to spend a ton of money on hard to find parts but came back with very little-in fact, I made more money than I spent during the trip.

I made some rather nice connections with several people I've had internet contact with over the past months and years.  It was nice to shake hands and share stories in person.  I learned a few things in my travels, checked out a lot of nice cars and widened my pool of resources to keep this build moving.  It was a great trip overall and I look forward to returning next year.

I returned to NOS check rods from France, a NOS seal from California and junk mail.  I've found a few additional parts recently so I'll likely be spending my money on those things while I wait out the body work portion of my car build.  I should also make a trip out to the shop to see how the body work is coming along.  In addition to picking up the transmission that's finished.

Time is eluding me, ever so slowly, but I'm intent on getting some progress to take place on this car...I can't keep buying and storing parts-the urge to build is growing.

Instead I wound up buying a NOS front beam to replace the one I have that's got sand in the bearings, along with some other small parts.

I also bought a NOS set of exterior trim, various rubber pieces and window clips.

Then, as a finale, I'm going to snap up that second NOS column housing and some more rare-ish NOS parts - some of which may be up for sale if I decide to let them go (probably).  I'm going to link my NOS parts from TheSamba.com to my blog.

Stay tuned.
