"We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men."

Yesterday was productive.  Craig and I took the white car and the miscellaneous pieces out to Ottawa, where it will have the body work finished and possibly painted.  The red car and its pan are still in the garage.  We rebuilt the stand for the red car so that it's more sturdy and ready for travel.  I'm probably not going to be working on the cars for a while-the house needs to be finished since we have only one fully functional bathroom.  Each room brings new surprises and issues to deal with and it's dragging on.  It's hard to stay motivated when each attempt at finishing a project brings on 3 more projects that prevent the first from being finished.

The red car will be picked up sometime during the week and then I'll focus on getting the pan apart to make more space.

Last week, we had torrential rains in the area-the city of Lisle had many roads closed and several of our neighbors had flooded basements-we were fortunate in that respect but we did suffer a lightning strike to the tree next to the house and it managed to end the lives of several pieces of electronic equipment in the house.  So we're working on the insurance claim piece this weekend.  Not much time for working on the car or cleaning the garage back up again.

This picture is of Route 53 about two miles from our house.

It's been a real weird year so far.
