Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

I found two decent pedal assemblies for the car today.  I emailed two sellers-both of whom emailed me back at about the same time, so I bought them both with the hope that one turns out to be what I want.  If I wind up with two that are in good shape, I'll be contented.

One more thing to wipe off the list.

The kick panel, however, is proving to be a bit more challenging to find than I expected.  The one I thought was going to be a 'given' wound up being a little more rusty than expected.  The seller emailed me back after removing it from the pan to say that he'd keep looking.

It's funny how you think something is going to be easy and it turns into a challenge.

I sent off what will likely be my last order from Germany for a while.  I might squeak out one more but I'm trying to stay focused on getting the pan back up on tires and that's costing a bit more than I planned.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads:  I'd like to put an aftermarket disc brake kit up front but I'm hesitant about the options.  One is a low cost option but I don't really like the way that the caliper mount fits.  The next option is over twice the price but it has a much more solid design.  The third option is similar to the the second and is slightly more expensive.

These are the things I have to work out before the body can even think about being reunited with the pan...and one reason that I'm not all that concerned with delays right now.  They're buying me some time.

Kick panel first, front brakes second...then tires and wheels.  Then I have to go chat with the transmission guy and find out where that whole process is when I'm ready for it.  Once this thing is on tires, I can focus my efforts (and money) on the body work/paint process.

One reason I'm slowing the parts purchases is that I think I'll find more focus when the body is back on the pan and it's painted.  I can assemble the car in sections, allowing me to start and complete a little piece each time.

That reminds me...I have a steering column to finish.
