I'm still digging my way out from under the parts car...now it's just little parts that I have to either scrap or sell. I've been selling quite a bit the last few days and the show is coming up in a little over a week...in the mean time, I decided to restore some of the rubber pieces that I'm going to use on Ferris.
This is a 'before' and 'after' shot of some pieces that I've cleaned up and made nice and soft again:
These parts are extremely durable, easy to clean and expensive to replace. I think I have three or four sets of rubber from various cars I've torn apart over the last few years. I'm going to clean them all, keep two sets and probably sell the rest of it off. I've got to pare down to what's necessary and get rid of the rest of it.
The heater channels and rockers are still in hiding, so there's no news on that front. Yet.
One of my shipments from Germany has gone missing and neither I nor the German shipper can seem to locate it with the basic information we have available. I'm hoping it'll turn up-there are some really nice parts in that box! The next shipment will have to go another method so it doesn't get lost.
I received the rear brakes a few days ago-scratched it off the list-and now have to do what I can to get the rear triangle finished up and put back together. I'll post up some pictures of the powder coated parts tomorrow since I haven't done that yet.
