NOS Type 3 thrust rings. The one part that seems to be cracked/broken on every beam I've taken apart. It's an odd design by VW-plastic piece where two metal pieces meet on the front suspension.
I am buying 10 pieces while they're out there.
NOS Connection rubber for heat exchangers. I managed to get the two original connection pieces off the engine intact but they're a little worn. I have another set so this will be a spare.
A NOS tail pipe trim piece. Oddly enough, this is one of the pieces I went to California-hoping to find one at the Classic in the swap area. I was talking with the 1500 Club guys about it thinking that it'd probably never pop up.
It's been a great year for parts and I hope it continues long enough for me to wipe everything off my 'need' list so that I can start working on the 'want' list a little more.
I had a brief email chat with the guy who's working on the body of my car...he's making progress and I'm going out in a little over a week to discuss the progress, talk about the next steps and make sure he's got the parts he needs to keep things going.
