“Direction is only necessary when your destination is certain but the path to get there isn't clear to you”

What started out as a consideration, the N model restoration, has pretty much turned into the direction at this stage.  Some of the rare parts have surfaced with little effort, some will be found later.  The only thing, as of now, that won't be 'correct' is the engine.  I can live with that.

The body guy is closing in on the work...updates came in a few minutes ago:

The infamous aftermarket rocker skins.  They were tweaked to fit a little but seem to have gone in rather easily.  The tube for the wiring harness was stripped out of the red car (Icarus) and used for Ferris.

There isn't much left of Icarus after the rust was cut out and a few of the usable parts were pulled for Ferris.  The rear apron, hatch hinges, front hood hinges, cowl, doors and a few other parts are all that remains.  I'm going to pick them up on the 26th and take more photos of Ferris.
A work request that was finished while I was convinced that I was going to build this car up as an S model.  Probably could have saved some money here but it's a nice thing to have should I decide to put pop outs in the car.  I like the ability to open the pop outs but I also like the simplicity of not having to install them (not fun) and being 'one part closer' to spec.

There are a few other things to close up before the body is media blasted and epoxy primed.  No paint color has been chosen yet but I'm leaning toward the original color: L87 Pearl White with Silver Cord pattern seats.  I pulled the ad for the original back seat from the classifieds.  Worst case scenario: I put it back in the finished car until I can get the seats recovered with the correct material.  So the car would be rolling around with fresh paint, a new headliner, ratty seats and no door panels (why the f**k did I sell them?) until I can find them.  I'm hoping to find a decent dash before the windshield goes in but that'll just have to play out as it does I suppose.

I have the rear reflector housings, the reflectors, the front lenses, the rocker trim pieces and bumpers for cores.  I can get NOS seals for both front and back housings easily.  I've also got plenty of parts to trade away to get me closer to the finished product.

Dash pad, door panels and front fenders are the big items missing from this project.

If I can get the pan up on tires with the transmission, engine and related goodies installed, by the end of the Summer, I'll consider that a 'win'.  It'll also centralize a lot of the parts floating around the house/garage.

This is finding its own direction without much guidance from me.
