1965 Type 3 Parts Database
The top one is most of the VW Parts book with photos, dimensions and quantities for each model. I'm not sure why the book states 'not available' for some parts. I can't find a way to acquire parts via the links on the page. I have had success in finding parts in other places as a result of the cross reference information-I've ordered a few 'test pieces' to see if my suspicion is correct. Some of these parts are crossed to very new platforms (2002 Jetta, for example) and I want to make sure they're correct for a 1965 Variant before I go nuts and order a dozen pieces.
If nothing else, the database (second link) has very clear images of the parts-better than the online version on TheSamba that was scanned in via PDF and it makes up for a few of the missing/damaged pages in my parts book. I'm looking into getting some A4 paper and printing the pages I've found are missing from my parts book. It makes me a little nuts that it's missing pages.
They both appear to be pulling the information from a similar database but the first link will allow me to save the image as a .png, which I then convert to a .jpg with a title.
I ordered some grommets from a newer source and I'm just waiting for them to arrive.
