The red car (Icarus) was picked up mid-day on Saturday and I received an email later in the day to tell me that the car made it all the way to its destination without incident. Now in the garage is the pan from the red car-waiting for me to have time to tear it down and rebuild the front end and build up the rear suspension triangle.
The rockers are going to be done first on Ferris-allowing me to get the pan finished and brought back to the house where it'll meet up with a new front end and finished rear end. I'm still working out the details of how to get the transmission back from Milwaukee-time is a commodity that I don't have much of at the moment.
I received the box of parts that I bought about a week ago. The pistons/cylinders are for the N model car (another sign that I should keep Ferris as an "N" model, perhaps?) so I can't use them in my build of the 1500 S motor. The exhaust and damper looks good as does the cylinder head. Fuel pump is nice as well (Brazilian) and the rebuild kit will certainly come in handy later down the road.
Projects around the house are on schedule. My certification is not on schedule but I'll circle back to it in a few weeks. It should be a productive year overall.
No real interest in the pan I've got up for sale yet...I'm hoping to get it sold within the next two months to make room for the other one. The garage is currently shared work space for the car and the house and it'll remain that way for the duration of the warm months.
