Some of my most prized possessions are the insults that never left my head

I nearly finished cleaning up the garage yesterday.  I discovered that my chosen spot for the doors is too small so they wound up back on the floor in the corner.  I cleaned a lot of parts in preparation for the paint shop, including three rear engine covers-all of which are bent in the exact same place.  The point is that my wife's car fits in the garage and most of my parts are easily found/located and ready for transport to a better outcome.

I bought a complete set of bumper brackets from Bert3, so I can sell off the set I have and save myself the cost of getting those powder coated.  The 'funny' part is that I don't have straight bumpers to put on the car, so the brackets are just an expense at this point.  A fellow T3 owner shared his opinion about the parts collection process: "death by a thousand $20 purchases".  I couldn't agree more.  I don't know how much I've spent, exactly, but I have an idea.  That's pretty much where I'm going to leave it.  Things that are known cannot become unknown and it's a reality I have no interest in meeting.  Some day, I'll look back and shake my head in amazement at how much I spent.

Three ignitions were taken apart and I cleaned the parts-one more coat of paint on the housings and I'll start putting them back together.  There's a complete assembly in Germany but I think I'm going to hold off on buying it since I don't really need it and I can use the money for other areas.  I can build three complete assemblies now and that's two more than I need.  In spite of that, I'm still looking for another lock cylinder.  I sacrificed one complete assembly (the back was broken out) for the sake of fully understanding how these things work/go together so that I can successfully assemble three others.
