Do I hear a heartbeat?

Just noticed that the car has the complete thermostat system, functional flaps, nice dual port heads with vented aluminum valve covers.  I'm going to do a compression test on it tomorrow to see where it is in 'life' since there's a mix of 'new' and 'old' parts on the engine.  This one has some nice parts.  I'm considering using one of my four transmissions to make a stand for the engine so I can put some carbs on this one, change the distributor and see if I can get it to run.  That would be a nice surprise.
