status update

After a couple of phone calls and a small amount of patience...I have found front fenders for Ferris.  They're in damn near perfect condition (one is NOS) and should arrive some time next week.

The spring plate tool was delayed by US Customs, so it'll arrive on Tuesday and I should have the rear assembly apart by Wednesday.

On another note, the shifters are going to either get a chrome or powder coat finish-the copper is far too gone to restore.

My neighbor came over today to check out the floor pans and the tunnel-I've got a place to start-cutting out the old floor pans and removing the jack points and seat tracks.

I also spent some time today...daydreaming about buying a welder-a Hobart Handler 140 to do the body work myself and save some money and gain a new skill.  And then, I drifted off and started looking at compressors in the 30-60 gallon size range.

In the end, I'll likely wind up not buying anything and hoping that I can get the floors prepped and welded on before my neighbor realizes how much of his time I'm going to consume...

I might work on the seats next-see what I have going on there and get them apart (make them easier to store).  The pile for the media blaster grows by the week.

It's possible that I'm not making any progress because the floor pan installation is stalled...and now I'm just looking around the garage for something to do to keep the momentum going.

A compressor would help me get small parts painted...
