shiny object management.

The floor pans arrived on Friday as expected...although it was raining quite hard and Kelly and I were headed to the cottage, so I left them at work.  I'll pop them in the car to be transported home on Monday.

The parts book also arrived-it is in very good shape-a few pages are missing, a handful have tears in them-it's to be expected for a book that was used at a dealership 40+ years ago.

The side markers look a lot better in pictures than they do in person-but that might be colored by my impossible standards for parts.  They're in good condition-I was expecting slightly better condition.  I had plans for the NOS parts-they'll likely wind up for sale.

I received yet another box of miscellaneous parts-purchasing more than I intended for what sounded like a song...and that's about their worth.  Five of the ten things in the box went into the scrap bin.  There are two that have potential, the rest of them will be sold.

Both shifters are worn to the metal-meaning the copper coating is gone.  I'll either restore them to a paint finish or leave them alone...eh, shit happens.

...I think it's time to chill out on the eBay and classifieds buying for a while-my luck seems to be going down the toilet.  I don't want to waste any money on more crap I'll have to schlock at the local show in August.

I found a tool to remove the rear spring plates from the suspension assembly-it'll hopefully arrive by next weekend-when I can take them apart and get them prepped for paint.  I'm mentally back on track and looking forward to getting this car back up on tires.
