One of the packages from Germany arrived today: NOS door handles, rear view mirror, thermostat parts and the left front turn indicator housing.
The fenders also arrived. I bolted them on the car for two reasons: 1-the car looks better with front fenders and 2-I don't have anywhere else to put them.
The left fender is NOS and needs next to no bodywork. The right fender is in excellent condition and needs minimal body work (at the bottom). I have all body panels, now I just need a little welding to happen and the body is good to go for blast and paint-after the heater channels are replaced. The body is VERY close to being done. I also found a place to take the car for the minor work that needs to be done...
Instead of this thing coming together one section at a time, it appears that it's coming together in parallel. I'm excited to see some forward motion-I'm two fenders closer to jumping in and driving the car!
