The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.

In my journey to restore Ferris, I make contact with people all over the world...asking questions, inquiring about parts, availability, prices...searching for the rare and not so rare.  In all of the email messages I send out, I usually receive a reply to 80% of the time.  Fairly high, given that most of my communication is in English (the only language I speak fluently) and is sent to people who live in places where it's not their given tongue.

I received a reply today from a metal fabricator in Germany-a guy I've been inquiring about for several months via other people in Germany-with news that has me a little bit excited.  He says he can make early heater channels for the early Type 3 if he has several months to source an original.  There's a large, but silent, market for them.  I hope he follows through with his quest to find the early set of heater channels and starts to create them for sale.

Patience is a virtue - sometimes the hardest one to hang on to when the 'light at the end of the tunnel' is visible and appears to be closer than I think.  Restoring a car is one of the largest puzzles you can find...this car is the most complete restoration I've ever undertaken.

Ambition is my guide and rationality is a hostile witness.

But victory shall be mine...
